Faith Marie began leading Moon circles in 2016, after supporting a women’s yoga retreat in Bali. She was deeply mystified by the feminine connection to the cycles of the moon, and realized how disconnected from her own menstrual cycle and feminine power she had been. While on retreat, she had a dream of tattooing the moon phases on her forearm, and so found a tattoo artist the next day to manifest the vision. Upon returning home to Seattle, where she’d recently begun teaching yoga, she infused her classes, healing, and personal essence with a sensual, feminine, “Moon Goddess” vibe. She found Mystic Mamma online and learned how to create Moon ceremonies, which she would hold at her home or yoga studios with a focus on astrology, ritual, and nourishment through food and tea.

Once she founded The Heart Center, Faith desired that a monthly moon circle could be offered from the space. She didn’t feel she had the capacity to hold these circles consistently, and dreamed of a rotating village of women who could take turns holding space for one another. 

In April 2022, Faith and her friend Lis Hirano joined together to commit to launching a 4 month “Moon Village”, to kickstart a group of women onto the path of inner wisdom and circle shares, as was customary of our ancestors of the Red Tent traditions. It was such a powerful experience that Faith was catapulted into a deep dark night of the soul for self-healing. After a year, she felt reinvigorated and inspired to hold an “I Love My Temple” retreat from the Heart Center, an all-day ceremony to reclaim the beauty, love and sovereignty of our bodies. 

After the potency of I Love My Temple, the rotating facilitation of Moon Village New Moon Circles was ready to manifest. Our New Moon circles have been happening each month without pause since the Aries New Moon of March 2023. It is our intention to continue hosting these gatherings into the future, not only at The Heart Center, but around the world. Moon Village  gives women everywhere a space to feel, emote, share, witness, and support her sisters on a regular basis. Giving and receiving our gifts has an immeasurable impact on our personal and collective healing and reclamation of Self.
